Caller identified herself as "Tori", then told my wife "I glad you picked up, I was tired of talking to your answering machine". Reported them again to National Do Not Call registry; will prosecute them for harassment if they call again, as they have been told not to call us before.
They called wanting info on if I had a burglar alarm, saying they give away free wireless alarms , i said no I don't have an alarm, the next day I got robbed!
It's a fundraising scamCaller ID says "Women's Cancer" which is same or very similar to Caller ID for the local women's cancer diagnostic and screening center, who sometimes calls for valid reasons. The voice sounded automated and asked if "Pat" was there. When I replied, "Sorry, you have the wrong number," the caller identified herself as "Tori" and said "I'm glad you picked up, I'm tired of talking to answering machines", and launched into a fundraising spiel. I tried to tell her we couldn't send anything, then she started to transfer to a supervisor - That's when I realized (too late) that this wasn't the same legitimate group I used to deal with years ago, and hung up.
They called back a few minutes later and my husband picked up. They asked for me and when he said, "May I tell her who's calling, please", they hung up. He called back the number and selected the option to be removed from their list. But, they are still calling two days later. They just hang up when he answers the phone.
