Hangs up..no message, tried calling it back and says the number is disconnected or some crap...so in turn it seems as though perhaps our cell phone companies may have a thief?? I think i'll wait it out and see if another call comes through if so i shall ask who they obtained my numbers from. I did that to the last scam warranty company and they never called again b/c i told them i was going to find out and sue them and who ever sold the numbers to the rip off artists. They would be sued professionally and personally. LOL. They didn't like that.. and the number was removed right away I guess. Sometimes we have to be a [***] to get ahead.
Received July 24, 11:50 EST. I live in Boston but have a 917 area code (NYC) on my cell. Didn't pick up - per Google, registered to Jeremy Denwalt in Argonia, KS. (And I don't have a car.)
I also just now (July 24, 08 @ noon ish EST) received a call which was via automated message telling me my "warranty was about to expire" and that this was going to be "very costly" and that I might spend 4 or 5 thousand dollars in repairs on my vehicle. Interesting since I dont own any vehicle. The automated message went on to prompt me to hit one digit to be disconnected from this list or to hit #1 to talk to an agent. I did the latter with the sole intention of wasting these [***]' time as they had done to me by calling my cell number. When I got thru the guy asked "What type of vehicle do you have?" - I tried to keep him on the phone but after I repsonded by saying "Well you should know. You called me on my private number" he just hung up.
