Same as the above posters, whose posts were added within the last two hours. I don't have any cards with HSBC. Likely a phishing attempt, as Jessica said.
I also received an automated call saying by debit card had been deactivated. Wanted me to press one to reactivate it by giving them my debit card number. Yeah, right, like I would do that.
I received a call stating that my HSBC card had been stolen. It was an automated call. I hung up and called HSBC and our account is fine. I reported the number the call came from to HSBC. They said they had been getting reports of this phising scam. HSBC said they are not making automated calls to their customers.
Same call as other posters, and I have no HSBC card. Gave options to press 1 to 'reactivate', also gave me the supposed # of HSBC bank's security division (or some such thing), 1-800-900-9789, which upon calling sounded like I'd reached a v/m for a camp or military base (definitely not HSBC).
I had a voicemail asking that I enter my box number and password. It didn't give or request any other information. I tried calling back the number and it was just a loop asking for those same 2 things over and over.
