These people keep calling me but never leave a message. The number they are calling in a Skype.com incoming phone number that rings in eastern Australia. I have no idea who they are but they call in the middle of the night and wake me up. I have this number so my family in the US can ring me. I have called they back trying to get them to stop and haven't had any luck.
I need to find if I can block them.
So if they are calling you it doesn't mean you owe money. They must have the wrong phone number. I personally owe money on a car and house and nothing else. If I don't have the money on hand to buy something I just don't buy it.
it really jerks my chains, when I get a call from this number, and they ask for me, then tell me, they have my soc. sec number, yada yada and proceed to tell me, how I suposedly took out a loan for $250 I didn't pay back so they are going to prosecute me for $4,000 and take everything I have, so I better be ready for the court suit, a loan pertaining to a certain debit card company, a loan I suposedly took out 6 months before I even got the card. yea, ok.
Interesting remark. Banks fail for being greedy. When they fail they then sell their assets (debts) for a couple of pennies on the dollar. This spawns collection agencies, who purchase the assets, that call the wrong people with the same name. Why? It's a numbers game for them and cheap with today's technology. Simple computer programs make the calls and long distance charges are a couple of dollars a month. Some people are stupid enough to pay even if it's not their debt, or can't remember, or get tired of the preditor tactics and feel that paying someone elses debt will give them peace. Wrong and naive. I was called by these folks even though I haven't had a job (entepreneur) in over 30 years and therefore don't qualify for a "payday" loan. You on the other hand seem to be one of those "get a job and pay your bills" types of people. You certainly must have another forum than this one to vent your anger. Some of us just want to know what telemarketers and politicians to block. The National Do Not Call List was established by politicians who exempted themselves from the legislation. I suggest you run for elected office and make an effort re-establish the debtors prisons that the people who founded this great country rebelled against. I wish you much security.
HaThis number calls me 10 times a day. Answered once and was informed that I owe on a loan I took out aug 30. 2007. I started laughing. I was givin birth that day. Dont do payday loans never have. The rude im blocking each number what [***] losers. I got a lawyer and suing this company for harressment.
