They called from this number this morning. Before that, the last time they called was on November 11, from 505-221-5912. THat was about 5 weeks ago. Both times, the caller ID was "CONSUMER SVCS". From the comments at the prior call on 800 notes, it is the same outfit. Maybe the numbers are spoofed, and they use random ones. Pests. Nobody ever answers these types of calls.
I took care of these idiots a long time ago. I work from home and my phone rarely rings anymore.I learned from a phone industry engineer that most of these calls are generated by a computer. The computer is programmed to listen for someone to say "Hello?" or say anything for that matter. The engineer also told me to add a "SIT-Tone" to the beginning of my greeting for my voice mail. Everyone should know what a SIT-Tone is. It is that three beep tone you get when you call a number and then a voice comes on and says "The number you have dialed has been disconnected.....". When the idiot's computer calls your home, the computer hears the "SIT=Tone" and now thinks the number is a bad number or is no longer a working number and removes it from the auto-dialer.
