Mentioned something about appearing before a magistrate or judge with action that the US Treasury is going to take against us. No clue as to why or who they even are, as they don't say who they are.
Called again. One three hours ago, and three in the last ten minutes. Tried contacting Verizon, but was cut off while being transferred. I did some searching and found the service is provided by Level 3 Communications. I have been on hold with Level 3 Communications (listening to awful music) for almost ten minutes now. The person who answered after ten minutes told me to call 877-253-8353. A very nice gentleman took the details. He was not able to track anything as it appears this number comes from an unknown third party provider. He did say, however, he took the complaint and will follow up with the number. He suggested I contact my local provider to find out what third party company called me. I'll see how this goes.
Good luck to anyone else who is trying to stop these calls.
received several voicemails about Treasury warrant to arrest. I called back (my bad) and was told that Papers will be served in 20 minutes. I asked for a supervisor as this did not sound right, got hung up. Obviously scam.
I have been receiving calls from several numbers regarding this IRS scam, and all from people who don't have English as even their third language. Two calls came in on the recorder on the same day I received my 2014 IRS refund check, and wouldn't it be just like the IRS to send my refund and then threaten to put me in prison for not paying back taxes.
Same as all the above, 2 calls so far today with the recording playing twice.
It comes up as a private caller but then I am to call 620 951-5092 so I can
help them help me..........I am going to try blocking that number but it
probably won't work.
