They call my cell which has no caller ID. They leave no message.
I call back after hours (using *67 to block ny number). I hear the following, "The person you are trying to reach is unavailable. Leave your message at the tone. Press pound when finished."
Others report that this is the IRS scam. Their outgoing message is not what I would expect from the real IRS.
The IRS will not call you. They send letters via US Mail. The IRS won't ask you to pay in i-Tunes cards. The IRS will not wish you "good luck as the situation unfolds". Trust yourself and your instincts - do not let a bully intimidate you by threats that are nothing but hot air (and bad breath). This is a SCAM.
Do not answer calls you don't know and never call them back.
Robo call about criminal lawsuit filed against me...demanding my attorney call back otherwise all they could do was "wish you in good luck as the situation totally unfolds around you."
Same as above comments. I've blocked the number, but they continue to call from different phone numbers. I've blocked 4 phone numbers now. It's a SCAM.
