I received a call from this number today. The caller knew my name even though our number is non published and said he was calling for a firefighters' association. He mentioned something about checking my smoke alarms before I hung up. The caller ID said Charity. Why would an association located in California call me in Massachusetts? When I called back I got a recording which began "Thank you for calling the Fundraising Information Center."
Got a call from this number. The man identified himself as from firefighter association, asking donation for volunteer firemen. I am questioning their legitimacy, since I don't live in Los Angeles area.
