I just received this same call today. The website is http://caleitc4me.org/ It looks like it's free help for filing your taxes if you need it and it also explains how to get the EITC credit on your taxes.
Left a message saying something about a tax return. The message was cut off so I didn't hear the whole thing . Medi-Cal qualifies you know by using your tax returns so it probably has something to do with that. I won't be answering and giving anyone any of my information though. I think it's from the human services department where you get cash aid or Cal fresh because it has the same voice as when you call in to their Hotline
I got this call from a automated machine to file a tax. It's another one of the scam calls. If you give them your social or welfare information. You are being scamed! You should never give your information over the phone.
This was associated with an application for food stamps. Safe to answer. It's just a recording that says something like "This is a call from **** for *your name*. If this is *your name*, please press 1. When you press 1, they confirm that you have an upcoming appointment. Totally safe to answer in my opinion.
