Got a call from an Andy Romeo saying he is coordinator of media for www.cutvnews.com. Contacting coaches to do a radio show - and since I do volunteer work, my price would only be $995 - pay now.
I got the call as well from Andy Romeo to be a featured guest on a radio show on cutv news for professional coaches who empower women. Yes, I have a business as a Relationship Coach, but I also had an internet radio show with a larger internet radio company, did my thing for a 13 week deal, paid a grip, got some valuable experience, but it didn't work for me as a form of advertising my work.So I chose not to do it again. I am happy to be interviewed, but am not open to paying for it, especially through blog talk radio where I could have my own show for a whole lot less $ than the company I was with. Its not necessarily that these folks trying to create a scam and are bad and wrong, they just do what they do to make their living. We just need to take a stand for what works for us and really choose what we wish to do. Ive decided I won't pay to be on an internet radio show or to host another one. Hosting is a lot of work. When I called back and left a message for Andy I told him if this is something I need to pay for, Im not interested, if not, Im interested in a discussion, and thanks for the call. Simple. I know there is a price tag for it and Im simply not interested in spending my marketing budget on internet radio.
just got scammed and thank god i used my Amex card and cancelled it just in time.....very good scam...but sent chills through me that i even believed it....was on the phone for nearly an hour, incredibly convincing and after i gave him my card number i realized...googled...and saw it was scam...saved just in time....
