Oontinuous badgering, day and night. Apparently it is a sophisticated robo call with real sounding interaction. Tends to ask questions that would elicit a 'yes' response implying a buying scam. Caller ID is variable thus defeating 'call bllocking options'.
I blocked this number using SuddenLink blocking tools and they called again averting this blocking feature! This is not a typical scammer or legit organization!
I'd gotten a few month's break from these calls by actually talking to a person. I asked them how much of my donation would actually go t help breast cancer patients, survivors. etc. I got an honest answer - about 6%.. When I told the person calling that it would make much more sense for me to physically give my money to anybody dealing with breast cancer in any way at all, she hung up. I have a robocall blocker now that diverts robocalls after one ring but I still got the caller id info. So if you don't have any call blockers, do what I did and at least you'll get a break for a while.
They called last night and I couldn't get the phone fast enough before a woman hung up. First she said my husband's first name several times followed by an "Are you there?" Then she made an annoyed noise and hung up. She said nothing about breast cancer, but when I called the number back a few times, it said a "United Breast Cancer" spiel each time and gave me a menu of numbers to choose from. I gave my poor husband hell because something like this happened last summer.. EXACTLY like this. He had recently lost his job and was looking at information about Obamacare on "The marketplace." They kept calling and hanging up after their message, and the. Had the woman who keep repeating my husband's first name as if they were personally acquainted.
I hope they call back. I'll say, "Oh I'm sorry-- I donated $10,000.00 to the woman I spoke to yesterday!"
