I have been receiving several calls from various numbers. Today it was 641-555-0149; normally I don't answer however, I figured I would start playing their game. He told me they were from Smart Tech Computer and they had information that I was having a problem with my computer and wanted to help me fix it. I laughed and said I don't even own a computer, I do, however I told them I do not and all I have is a Kindle. He sounded dumfounded and said you don't. I told him no I don’t and he said, “Oh, I’ll have to get back with you later”. I hope it's much later.
Lady with Indian accent called. Said "I am calling from Microsoft about a problem with your computer...OK." I didn't think or believe that Microsoft would call about something like this, so suspected a scam. I told her "hold on for sec" while I checked her phone number, and she hung up. I am on all the do not call lists. I think these lists don't work for international callers at all, whereas they sometimes help for those originating in the US.
