Got a call from 646-582-2989 answered (usually don't) asked for me by my first name, I listened to "Oscar with an Indian accent") Says he was with a private branch of the government, that I'd "earned & won" $8000 from a random selection from a list of "good citizens" meeting certain criteria (no DUI's on my record, properly filed taxes for 10 years in a row, & others). He asked my age (I Lied), if I was Married, Single or Divorced (I Lied), asked if I was employed or unemployed (I Lied). Told me to write down a ID number CA2123 & security code 7042 & after we hang up to call his manager @ 202-836-9751 to further the process to get my $8000. grant. NOT!!
Just got a call from this number. I answered it because I am sick of all these scam calls and I wanted to see who it was. So the guy with an Indian accent tries to tell me hes with some company (mumbles it). Then proceed to tell me we where good friends and that he knew my information. Stuff you can find online. So I chatted with him, I kept asking how he knew me and where he was from. Then he proceeds to tell me he knows me because I'm a famous rapper. And that I have an album coming out tomorrow. I told him that's great wheres my money for the album. Then he starts laughing and kept saying I was a famous rapper when I asked him how and where we know each other from. Then he hung up!
the jerk that keeps calling me from this number (and several other numbers) tells me the same thing about a gov't grant. When I ask them to stop calling me he said F*ck You... wow really....
