We are a corporate office with many employees but just very few in the corporate office, and some very illiterate idiot called from this number. The person he ask for works out in the field, and I informed this person of this. The idiot asked me was I trying to be smart with he/her-we couldn't tell by the voice- and then stated she/he/it was going to come and drag me out of my chair. (WTH you idiot, come on! You hide behind your phone, come say your stupid words face to face. I don't owe you nothing.) I then asked the idiots name and place of work, he then called me a "$2 [***]" - what a dumba$$, again, come and say this to my face. I immediately transferred him to a male in the office, who stated the same thing, this person is out in the field and not in this office and that he would appreciate that she/he/it doesn't call here and speak profanity to his workers. The idiot she-him-it then threatened him to expect the DA's office here with a police officer to do what? Pick us up? What a total farce company. They need to be sued, and they just might be very soon.
I work on my company's switchboard and have received a number of calls from this number. They just repeat the same threats and tell me "it is on" me. Frankly, this is a busy hospital and I just don't have time to deal with nonsense. I called them back finally and told them I would be reporting them to the NY attorney general's office. They surprised and indignant. I finally just hung up. Wish I could find a way to make them stop.

The Internet Crime Complaint Center has received many complaints from victims of payday loan telephone collection scams. Callers claim the victim is delinquent in a payday loan and must repay the loan to avoid legal consequences. The callers purport to be representatives of the FBI, Federal Legislative Department, various law firms, or other legitimate-sounding agencies. They claim to be collecting debts for companies such as United Cash Advance, U.S. Cash Advance, U.S. Cash Net, and other Internet check-cashing services.
According to complaints received from the public, the callers have accurate data about victims, including Social Security numbers, dates of birth, addresses, employer information, bank account numbers, and the names and telephone numbers of relatives and friends. How the fraudsters obtained the personal information varies, but in some cases victims have reported they completed online applications for other loans or credit cards before the calls started.
The fraudsters relentlessly call the victim’s home, cell phone, and place of employment. They refuse to provide any details about the alleged payday loans and become abusive when questioned. The callers have threatened victims with legal actions, arrests, and, in some cases, physical violence if they do not pay. In many cases, the callers harass victims’ relatives, friends, and employers.
Called asking for someone who has never worked here before. Asked what it was in regards to and he said " a legal matter" I ask from what company. Named some phony office. I said that there was no one here by that name. He asked me "Why in the HELL did you ask me so many questions then". Told him because he called a business and it was my job. Of course I hung up before listening to anymore of his [***].
caller advised that he was with Law Offices and that he had a case against me never said what for just that he was sending paperwork to the Attorney General Office.
