Got a phone call twice in the pass 2 days saying they are from the federal government and I have been selected to receive $9,000 because each year the federal government gives away grant money to those who have never been arrested or filed bankrupcy before. But, if it was free money they wouldn't be asking me to load $2,000 on a green dot card and once they receive the $2,000 they will release the $9,000 into my bank account...like really sir who does that? then I was told if I registered my name with the federal reserve bank that I won't have to send any money to anyone and the money will automatically be placed in my account within the next 30 mins just give them my bank info...when I said send it by check in the mail they hung up but keep on calling back
when i said hello, the person said, hello? hello? hello? i said hello again and the person asked for me by name. i asked where they were calling from, they said the federal treasury. i could barely understand her because of her very heavy accent. this is one of those scam calls that they just want you to say yes so they can rip you off.
Get this call. First they tell me they are from the Health and Humane services dept. And I have been selected to recieve grant money. I am like . Since when does the Health and Human services Department in the business of giving out any money? You have been selected to receive 40,000 dollars. So they want my birth date I say you tell me . I am not giving out information to the government who called me. Then the caller asks how I want the money. I said Government check! Click !!! Called back . When they answer the say this is the Treasury / Grant money giving away hotline !!! LOL ..... Then I get on with another and same dance . No will not give out information over the phone to fake . I hope they trace this fraudulent Government impostor ... I do not think they want to call anymore. I tell them to send it check they already know my address ... Derp ! Smith and Wesson got the door. That and my blue heeler will greet them if they decide to visit. Sad that people have to be so stupid to be fake criminal. Never give out information to anyone who calls you unless you are exspecting them .. If you call a business and know beyond a shadow who you are dealing with. The US Government will not call and just give you money! And they still cut checks. Do not give out bank card info or your account info to your checking.
Scammers!!!!! If I could this would be blocked....gov check was first call...say no hang up...they have called 8 times in 6 hrs. Each rejection they got nastier and nastier....
Getting calls constantly from these scammers. Don't answer any of these calls if you don't recognize the number or you may get stuck with a bill. Turning them over to the complaint dept at donotcall.gov
