Got a call from 646-663-1260. Readout says Unavailable is name of caller. Didn't get to phone in time to answer. Interrupted what I was trying to do at the time. Brought remote phone to computer to look up number. While I was typing this the phone rang again and the readout on phone has no phone number this time. Only Unavailable, Unavailable this time. Tired of this.
Had a foreigner with an accent call me about an ADT Home Security System. I quickly asked him to hold and covered up the phone. I was near a computer and found a porno site with movies. I put on the first video that popped up and cranked up the speakers. There was a couple on the screen and she was moaning away.... I got back on the phone and told him that I was busy eating dinner and could I call him back.... All he could do was stammer while listening to the background noise. He apologized for interrupting me and said it wouldn't be necessary to call back.
i keep getting called by this number and when i answer they hang up, when i dont answer no message but when i call back it is an recording saying something about a $100 walmart gift card. i then hang up but they continue to call, they have called at least 5 times in the last 3 days. there are no persons to talk to and it has become very annoying to receive calls during working hours and no one to complain to.
This phone number has called me about 3-4 times per day for the past 3 or 4 weeks. I have answered once and no one speaks right away so I hang up. I have called it back and they tell me they want to give me a walmart or target giftcard. I spoke with someone and told them I wasn't interested and to stop calling and they said they would but low and behold another call the next day from them.
I live in a suburb of Austin, TX. I began receiving calls from this number about a month ago. On average I receive about 7-10 calls a day. I placed them on the national Do Not Call (DNC) list about a week ago. The calls keep coming. I am now considering all of my options, including filing a restraining order and filling harassment charges as well as any and all other legal remedies that are available. I am incredibly irate at this completely unsolicited situation. If anyone has had success making these people cease and desist their annoying phone calls, please post so we can all follow your course of action. Thanks!
These bozos called my home today, but I don't answer if I don't recognize the name or number. That is the one and ONLY time they will disturb me.
Yesterday I bought a new cordless phone system for my landline. It is a Panasonic system from Costco. It allows me to block up to 250 phone numbers. One guess as to what the next entry will be. I don't know and I don't care what they hear from my machine, because it's probably a robocall anyway. On the upside, the system also lets me store up to 3000 numbers in the phone book. With a base unit and 4 remote handsets, at $130 after the instant rebate, it's a heck of a deal. My old set had four handsets total and I recently moved into a larger house, so I needed another anyway.
My local phone company offers call blocking, but they don't block toll-free (800, 888, 866, 877, etc.) numbers so what good is THAT? It's the only way the robocallers can do what they do.
