Robo call starting that there were serious allegations against me and before I'm taken into custody by local police I should call immediately. What is this and whho is this?
They called me. obvious scam. Owe IRS money. IRS never calls they send mail. I proceeded to call this number back using a number masking service to change my number every time I called, Called about 30 times from 10 different area codes screwing with them. Took the liberty of informing them that them owed the IRS money on one call. Another I was with the DOJ following up on some acquisitions. One fed fake info and kept him on the line for about 10 minutes before telling him that actually "That's not really me, I just stole this phone and tI guess hat's who owns the phone" . On one call I verbatim opened with the same robocall I had received, to the word. Eventually they just stopped answering all together. Probably going to wait a little and do it all over again just in case they start using the number again. I figure I'm bored enough, I can keep this up for a few days.
Continues to call our office number. I call back today and ask who they need to speak too since the do not ask for anyone specifically. I gave our 800 number. Gentleman said, "No, No, No, I need your phone number." I told him I believed this was a scam and to remove us from their database. He said "thank you bi..h" and then hung up.
