I just received the same call from marathon,FL. They left a robo message stating that I had 4 allegations against me and that I would be taken into custody by loca cops if I don't return the call to discuss about this case! LOL! Do people actually fall for this stuff? These scumbags need to be thrown in jail in America for the crap they try and pull. My recommendation is not to answer an unknown number. I plan on notifying the local police just as a heads up. I do remember a while back they were doing this and advised to notify the authorities so they can keep track. Smh it's more annoying than anything else.
I received 3 separate calls from a representative with the IRS saying the Sherrif will arrest me for 90 days if I don't pay back taxes from 2011-2014. I asked them key questions and they were not able to explain. He had a strong accent but had an American name, red flag. He sounded Indian. He also gave me a badge number 80105. Saying I owed $998.00. I hung up and blocked all 3 numbers.
I'm in CA and a robo VM was left with the same spiel as above. Tax issue, 4 criminal allegations, local police with arrest me and I should return their call in 24 hours or the time expires. It's very convoluted and the English a little broken.
