The caller asked for our IT department. When asked about the nature of the call, he claimed he was a student and needed help with a project about data storage. Um... he called a SCIENCE research institute. Nice try, buddy.
Indian Guy wanted to talk to IT dept. I asked how he got the number, we are on the Do Not Call Registry. He said this is not a sales call, but for research for his school - South Florida University. I said We are in CA, your number is a NY number and you go to South Floridia? Give me your name and I'll call the school to get taken off the list. He hung up after being extremely pushy asking for our company's IT information. RUDE AND SCAM! CALLED TWICE TOO MANY!
Have received many calls during the last two weeks from a man with a heavy accent and usually a bad connection on several different lines. I have to think that they're the same person. During one inquiry, he claimed to be a student, looking for information! Reading this page makes me believe that I'm on the right track. The other numbers were 508-532-0911, 408-454-6387, and 503-470-5397.
