I have been called before from another company. Aetna does offer a visiting nurse service if needed. They want to send someone to your house to charge Aetna. The problem is that there is probably a copay although they will claim it is free. I was going to have a visiting nurse until I found out it was 150 per visit and Aetna only covered 25. All she was going to do is take my vitals and show me how to take my drugs. For $150 I said no thanks. Now these guys are calling supposedly from Aetna and keep on leaving messages to call them back.
Claimed to be from Aetna Insurance. Said he had sent a letter regarding a home visit by a doctor. I had never received such a letter. Caller claimed Aetna needed to have my "vital signs" in case of an emergency and wanted to send a doctor tomorrow to my home tomorrow. If this is a legit Aetna call, they are completely lacking in common sense. Who would admit a stranger to their home on the say so of a telemarketer?
Claim to be from Aetha and asked if I received a package they sent out about some promotion, I told the rep no and then she told me my address and it was correct and she told me they would resent the package. The strange thing though was as she was speaking the phone experienced like some type of interference and our conversation got disconnected.
I received a voicemail ( which most telemarkets or people looking for money do not do). Emma, stated she was for Aetna( which is my insurance company) I called back spoke to someone who would transfer me to someone who handle my account. Had to leave message, at the end of the message you heard movement or something, weird and abit unprofessional?- I did leave a message and waiting to hear back from them
I also just received a message from Emma stating that she was from Aetna and asked me to call back 646-849-1021 ext 430. I will not be calling as I am sure this is not legitimate. I received a call last year from someone else claiming to be from Aetna who wanted to send a Physician's Assistant to me home. Obviously that did not sound like a true Aetna call either.
