I am sure your niece is one of the few that takes "No, but thank you for calling". HOWEVER, MOST do not! When you finally say "look, I told you I am not interest. I am hanging up now." I normally hear "[***]" or "I have your number I can call anytime". At which point I CHEW THEM OUT.
The problem is that when you have one of these jobs, the employer MAKES you say those things and they monitor your phone calls to make sure that you do, otherwise you get in trouble. I worked in collections for awhile and a little bit in sales so I had to cold call & it SUCKED! But sometimes you have no other choice, it's not the telemarketers fault, there's no need to be rude to them.
id as spam call from New York? From posts It seems that 80% of these clowns hang up and that's about my
experience with these calls, I know they don't like answer machines. Too much time involved.
