I received a call from someone I could hardly understand, and when I told him I had to go to a meeting - he rudely insisted, "yes or no - do you trade stocks on line?". Unbelievable! It was clear the call was originating from another country.
I had the exact same interaction with a heavily accented female voice from this number. She alleged to be conducting a survey about online brokerage activity on behalf of Wall Street Journal. Refused to take me off their call list unless I provided information about my online trading. I suspect they are fraudulent.
Heavy accent man very rude I asked him how he got my number and that I was on a do not call list. he totally ignored me so I hung up on him and he immediately called back
I was called (they knew my name) and asked to participate in a survey. Said I don't do surveys and hung up. They immediately called back and said they would keep calling until I answered their questions. Told them to not call and to take me off their call list. I hung up and received another call immediately after. I told not to call me and that they were acting illegally. They said they would keep calling until they got their "research questions" answered. I put number on Verizon call blocking. NExt day another call from New York and then a call from New Jersey and another call from New York. All had accents like from India. 1st call claimed they were Van's Surveys.
Call came into my cell phone while I was driving...answered via bluetooth. They asked for me by first name, but I lied and told them they had the wrong number...sounded like a call center in the background.
