received the same call, saying press 1 for lowering interest rate of credit card
press 2 if you want to disable this auto calling thing
pressed 2, invalid selection
pressed 1 and asked that foreign speaker why my #2 selection was invalid
he hung up on me
next time, i will make sure he looses lot's of time with me on the phone...
i bet i'll hang hup before me :)
I pay for call display and make use of it , if I don't see a name I ignore it. sometimes it backfires as grandkids have cell phones and they don't always register a name. They know they need to leave a message in that case and I'll call them right back ( IF I'm home of course). I did receive a call from an old friend I had not talked to for years but it was from France , an odd number and no name so she finally left a message......
Recieved a call from this number, being that it was on the work phone I had no choice but to answer it...Told me my reply was invalid, so I pressed 1 to figure out what was going on. Some middle-eastern guy started babbling about my credit card and something else (a trick they use: talk so fast you don't hear their fake names/companies) Asked me if I owed anything on my card and whatnot. I asked him how he got my work number, he said I provided it to "them" which ofcourse I did not....Eventually, buddy realized he wasn't going to get anything out of me, babbled on about sending me some paperwork then hung up as fast as he could before I could reply.
Do not give out any information to this number, it is not VISA, it is not your respective bank; it's some punk in Toronto. Ask LOTS of questions, be assertive, and if you're bored, screw around with them a little bit.
