Yesterday, I got the same call as many other reported before me claiming that they are from the CRA and filed lawsuit because of tax evasion. I got one more call today with the same message. The funny thing is that when I call back it is always busy. How are they supposed to scam people if they are always busy? There must be a legal way to catch these [***] and put them behind bars.
647-492-7985 7 calls to date last was today. - CRA scam started about two months ago. they would take all my assets if I don't call back with-in 24 hours. Still waiting lol... Not funny at all and if I ever get my hands on them ...watch out.
Am getting these calls on a regular basis. Since nobody seems to be able to stop these calls I have unplugged my answering machine and do not answer any calls if I don't know them. They called yesterday morning and again this morning at 8am. I really don't understand why something cannot be done to stop these horrible people from harassing us!!
Same thing here. Left a message that they will be freezing my accounts within 24 hour and a collector will be coming to my home soon to complete the paper work.
They called my parents and left two threatening messages over two days claiming that they owed money to te CRA. They explained that a lien would be placed on their home, and that someone would be sent out to collect the money. I called the police in Toronto. The officer on the line claimed that even she has had three similar messages on her home phone. The police only get involved if you unwittingly hand over a SIN number or credit card information since no actual fraud was committed.
