When I phoned the above number it reported that my HSBC business card would be locked and asked that I reactivate. I am concerned as I do not hold accounts with HSBC
Got same message, [Unverified-Sender] (917-341-2375) H.S.B.C.-Business STJC alert. Please call (650) 200-4041. at 1:46 pm today also from a 917 caller. Thought if was fishy from this area code so I did not call back.
Phisher hoping to suck people into revealing credit card numbers via a tape. I love to call these guys and plug in fake stuff. They have enough smarts to know the first four digits of each bank. So if you know them, plug those in then a random 12 numbers. The Phishers will try to sell the data. When their buyers find they've bought many fake numbers, they may come and "talk" to the seller. The seller may need some medical benefits thereafter
this is a scam!!!! i work at a bank, my client have been calling in about this and a number from "702" area code = las vegas NV...............PS: never give your Chk crd info to any party "solicited" over the phone. be sure you call the correct number to reach your bank or cred crd institution -DIRECTLY!!!!
