If you have a landline and want to block calls like this get your self a panasonic cordless phone. There phones have a program in them were you can block all kinds of calls. I have a set of the phones and I block every call so now no one calls.
I get calls from this number daily, do not know who they are they do not leave messages, and you cannot call them back at this number itis really annoying
This number called me on my cell today. I answered 'cause I didn't have my glasses and wasn't sure who it was. A woman with a very heavy accent asked for me and when I said "Yes?" she proceeded to say she was from "Education Link" and I cut her off and said "Take my number off your list" and hung up.
Sounds like another phantom debt collector calling. This is a scam where they threaten to have a warrant put out for you arrest unless you settle a debt immediately and they give you an amount. They target people who have needed to take out or even apply for pay day loans or other cash advance type loans. The first call I got the person was extremely rude and threatening so I called the local authorities, who then put me in touch with the FBI, who is fully aware of this scam. I've dealt with these calls twice and still have not ended up in jail.
Called and said is this joesph, I said no, they said well your number matches our records so lets get you in ADVANCED education for $$$
I hung up on them
This is obviously a scam and no one should reply to them - eventually, they will get tired of calling you and wasting their money. Why can't this number be blocked and why don't the authorities take action to stop this annoyance?
