The recorded call begins in an Indian accent "This message is intended to contact you". How wonderfully efficient!
It continues, "This is Kevin Mason calling regarding an enforcement action executed by the US Treasury requiring your attention. Ignoring this will be an intentional attempt to avoid your appearance before a Magistrate Judge or Grand Jury for a Federal Criminal Offense. Press 1 to speak to a Senior Attorney or, Press 2 if you want to face legal charges".
I left the Call Type as Unknown since there is no option to choose SCAM.
Tangential footnote: Folks, we're living in a Post-Legal Society, where the Constitution has essentially been gutted. Where are the governmental agencies, technology corporations, telephone companies and others who have the ability to halt these, and other abuses? For the most part, on the same side. Theirs, not ours. There's money to be made here people. And yes, I'm completely disgusted with what is going on in what is supposed to be OUR country.
I'll close my rant with just one of many eye-openers by looking at the etymology or derivation of the word "governmental": Govern means to Control, Mental refers to the Mind. Governmental = Mind Control.
As aggravating as these calls are, I would suggest that our collective energy should be directed at solving what are quickly becoming much more lethal eventualities. Okay, enough energy here.
Must be a fairly recent number since he is not already in my blocked list. It's good entertainment though. At least I know my phone still works. Tee Hee.
Claimed to be calling about some federal charge, and this was my second warning (oh NOESSSS!!). Claimed his call back number was (650) 449-7379, but the last two numbers on my caller ID showed 97, not 79. Either way, he's getting blocked. Caller ID showed San Francsco, CA. Can't even spell, can they?
Yeah, here we go again with the "you're in big trouble" scam. You can either ignore the jerks, or call back and mess with them. Just play along, waste their time, then ask them what evidence they have against you. When it seems you're ready to pay, just pause and let loose the biggest string of profanity that would make a sailor proud.
