Received a text about an item on Craigslist. Typical scam, I will send you a cashiers check and you send me the item. Your bank will clear the check because you are a good customer, however a couple of weeks later, the cashiers check is bounced back because it does not clear their bank or is fraudulent. You will be out the goods and the money! Beware!

Yep. It's a scam. Just got a text for a high value Craig's list item I am selling. Same m.o. certified check with extra for shipping costs. I gave him my corporation name and address and told him he'd have to wait 10 days to 2 weeks for the check to clear. Haven't heard back yet, but hope to. I am having fun with these [***]. Told them to wire the funds to me so we don't have to wait and that I would just write void on the cashier's check they sent me and return it to them when i ship them the item. What can i say. I'm bored
