Received a text about an item on Craigslist. Typical scam, I will send you a cashiers check and you send me the item. Your bank will clear the check because you are a good customer, however a couple of weeks later, the cashiers check is bounced back because it does not clear their bank or is fraudulent. You will be out the goods and the money! Beware!
My husband received a text regarding an item that we had listed on Craigs list over a year ago. Wants his name and address to send a cashiers check. It's for a truck topper and hasn't mentioned shipping yet. Still toying with him!
Guy's still at it. Sent me a cashiers check for more than $1000 over my list price, wants me to cash it and give the extra to "moving men" when they come to pick up the item. :/ Such bull.

Just received a text " going to pay you with a certified check and wait till it clears your bank before pick up is scheduled." Thanks for all the posts, not interested in anything this person has to say.
Texted twice about same item. The text from these scammers always looks the same, like they copy and paste the item description.
The second time the scammer added "still available for sale?"
I texted back "Yes, available for pick up in person cash only no exceptions"
I'm glad to see people are catching on to the scams. One of these days I am going to have a little fun with one of these scammers.
