Claimed to be an IRS Federal Investigation Officer telling me that my taxes had been audited and that I owed over $5,000. Said if I didn't do a payment plan on the phone that I'd be arrested when I hung up the phone and put in jail for 72 hours while it was being investigated, etc. Gave me a case# and the names of Linda Browne and then spoke to her boss Jacob Browne - both with foreign accents.

Claimed that i owed 76,295.00 in taxes to send tax records. This was time sensitive. If they didn't hear from me
good luck i was on my own. This needs to be stopped. Some innocent person may believe this prank and comply
and get their identity stolen or money. Several people i know has received this call.
Did not answer call, but had answer machine turned off as I have had two calls like this on my machine recently. I suspected might be same caller as they did not hang up after 3 rings like most scam calls do. Glad to see my instincts were correct.
Called and left message saying to call back about "this case file". Female automated voice, did not mention company or a name.
I have received the same call and message in recent times, but the phone number was changed in the message. Obviously a robocaller that is using different numbers from different states/area codes.
