I received 4 phone calls at my place of employment from a lady from this phone number. I am not allowed to receive personal calls at my work. The first time she stated her name was "Alexis", the 2nd time she said her name was "Gina" and the 3rd and 4th time she was very rude and threatening to my boss and called herself "Tabitha". Evidently this is from a scamming debt collector. My boss told her not to call any more and she proceeded to tell her that the police were coming (another threat). And then she back-tracked and stated she worked for an attorney and could she give me a number to call her back at.
I called her back (on speaker phone) with my boss witnessing and listening. She told me her name was "Gina" and my boss told me that was the same lady who said her name was "Tabitha". She wouldn't tell me what company she was from but I do know that this is the same company listed as "Western Performance Group". These people are fraudulent scammers who use "scare tactics" to try to threaten and bully you into giving them money. Please don't fall for this. I almost did.
I received a call from them yesterday. She swore up and down that I would be served with papers at my place of employment and my wages would be garnished! HA!! I'm self employed and work from home, so that tells you right there how well they have their facts! She's trying to collect on a credit card that my last payment made was back in 2004. She's claiming that the SOL start on the day the company sent it to charge off which was in May of 2008. First of all, a company wouldn't hang on to it for 4 years before sending it to charge off. Secondly she made the point that she still had until May of this year before the SOL expired. Guess she hasn't done her home work, b/c Texas has a 4 year SOL so if she had her stuff straight, she would know that if it was accurate, that she had another year. I told her that I wasn't paying anything. Then she proceeded to tell me that she could get a $4100 debt down to $947. Whatever! Not getting a dime or anymore of my time!
Glad you didn't fall for it either. They think that they can throw around the 'serve papers' threat. Thankfully I'm a little smarter than that and do my research before agreeing to anything! Sadly though - their tactics have worked on others. Hope this helps!!
I received a call on my cell phone yesterday afternoon from a woman named Alexis stating that I owed a debt for a credit card. She said in her message that if I didn't respond to her call that day she would assume the information she had was correct and would take further action against me. When I returned the call she told me it was for an unpaid credit card debt and that if I didn't give her a debit or credit card number she would have me served by a sheriff at my work for a wage assignment and then I would have to appear in court and pay not only the card debt, but an additional $2500.00 for lawyer fees She never gave me any information on what credit card this was from nor did she give a company name. She was very intimidating and still gave no information where this was from. I am greatful for those of you who have posted your personal experiences with this same person.
Someone named Alexis from (657)859-6703 called my husband at work today and informed him that she was attempting to collect an old debt of mine. She stated that I had ignored her phone messages repeatedly, (funny since my phone has been unplugged for months) and that I had better get in touch with her tonight or she will have him served at work tomorrow, and garnish his wages. She also informed him she would be filing a case with the DA, and then proceeded to give him a supposed case number as though she had already filed. If I remember right, someone from this company called me on my cell a year or so ago claiming to be an LA county Sheriff, and stated that they were going to serve me the following morning and that I must stay home and wait for it When I checked to confirm this with the sheriffs.office, they knew nothing about it.
Also, I failed to mention that this debt in no way involved my husband. As a matter of fact, he knew nothing about the account and was completely caught off guard. by this phone call. It seems that they operate on scare tactics and intimidation to accomplish their collection goals. They need to be taken down!!!.
i also received a message from this alexis woman asking me to call her back with the name of my lawyer
she said she had an officer come to my workplace but i wasnt here so the papers she served were returned back to her
she's very scary...watch out for her wooooooooooo
