Same as described above. Three identical messages left. Same bogus claim about US Treasury enforcement action... Pretty funny that he refers to magistrate judge, since those aren't used in the United States.
Got this call three times, leaving an identical message twice with a claim that the US Treasury has an enforcement action pending before a magistrate judge or grand jury. Clearly a scam; real government notices come by post. It appears the caller IDs are being spoofed. One reported caller "SANTA ANA CA" number 657-859-7813 and another "Unknown Name" 657-857-9813.
I had the same experience and type of message as "peeved" received. I called the person back at 657-859-7813 who said he was with the US Treasury office in Los Angeles, CA and said his name was Steve Jackson. He told me that they could take my bank account or job if I didn't listen to him. I asked him for a certified letter from the US Treasury office if their truly was an issue and he said that would not be possible.
