Multiple calls from same CID: Broadband Consult. not sure if they originate from the same number. Its been a few months since the last one. Clearly,a robo-call and most likely spoofed.
This one left an open line on my answering machine. Whatever they want, we are at an 'end of the road' location, waiting for a promised fiber/cable connection to a local distribution node for the past five years, and service provider has promised connection sometime within the next four years. Whoever calls doesn't seem to know this, of course, or they wouldn't be calling anyone in our area, so this must be a scam..
Why doesn't the Call Type include Scam category? All the Call Types pertain to legal calls, not-with-standing DNC.
It actually IS ILLEGAL to use SPOOFED (Fake, with real number hidden) Numbers.
**ENFORCEMENT** is the key. Doesn't matter HOW 'illegal' ANYTHING is, you have to have someone holding the perps ACCOUNTABLE in order for it to stop, or at least slow down.
Best thing you can do is REPORT EACH and EVERY one of these calls to the DNC and FTC. Then, MAYBE enforcement can begin to happen.
BROADBAND CONSULTANTS at 660-268-5987 are not legit business of any kind. Some people say it is Obamacare, others say they want to give you an interest free CC, others say they will fix your credit. These scammers are obviously bi-polar as they don't know what lie they want to tell

I am not the most tech savvy person around. I won't call or e-mail them because I don't want them to flood me and mine with their negativity. Just don't answer or answer say nothing and hang up.
We got a call from a 'Private Number' at around 11 pm last night - I wouldn't star whatever to find out who called because I don't want them hounding me. I am looking into seeing what my phone company will do to block anonymous calls. But that won't take care of spoofed numbers.
660 is from western Missouri. They can take a long walk off a short pier.
