I answered and they had very important news about my credit card account! I pressed 1 to speak to an operator. Not because I was dying to know this info, but because I wanted off their list. They hung up on me. Pretty standard.
This is a scam. Knew it from the beginning of the call, but wanted to see what they said. Indian dude told me I could lower my interest rate for my Visa/Mastercard. I asked him which one I needed the most help with, and he said my Visa card. Told him I didn't have one and he hung up.
I was at work and the call went to voicemail. Message was an automated voice saying, "Consider this your final notice." Then the hang up. Googled before trying to call back, and glad I did!
