From this number I've spoken to an older man, a younger man and several women. They claim to be part of BestBuy Rewards program and tell me I've won a $250 BestBuy Giftcard. They need my "private info" to send it to me, but won't answer questions about it and when you press them on it they hang up and call again the next day. I've even given them BS info and the calls don't go away.
When you tell them to stop calling, they hang up and call again the next day.
When you ask to have your number removed from the list, they hang up and call the next day.
When you yell at them(like loud horrible sailor style cuss words), they hang up and call again the next day.
When you ask how they got your number, they hang up and call again the next day.
When you ask for their name after they tell you, well you get the picture...
I'm about 3 weeks into this charade, having been called almost everyday sometimes twice a day the entire 3 weeks. My fully updated iPhone 6S Plus refuses to block the number, Bestbuys never heard of them and AT&T says they can't do anything about it. It's a mind numbingly useless waste of time for both of us and I can't understand why it keeps happening or what on earth might be gained from this other than that I now "HATE" the word BESTBUY!!!
Also the number 661-529-2233 seems to be a part of this little scheme, but this number is used far less often.
And, of course, the real kicker is that if they were part of the BestBuy Rewards program, they have your "Private" info already, which you would have given them when you signed up for it.
I guess the worst part of these things is that they insult your intelligence from the word go, and then get nasty when you don't fall for the BS. Total bunch of losers.
I think this number may have been updated to one of those "Can you hear me?" scams. I got a call right now from this number, and they kept asking me leading questions, trying to get me to say "yes." When I asked who this was, they said they were a magazine company. I told them I've never heard of them and they promptly hung up. The scary part was they were calling me by my first name!!! Use extreme caution when dealing with these people.
