I didn't answer the call, so I'm unsure of who they were, but from what I'm reading, it sounds like they weren't anyone I want to talk to. Glad I have a strict rule against not answering calls from numbers I don't recognize! I figure if it's important, the person can leave a message and I'll call them right back. Of course the caller from this number did not leave a message. No surprise!
This number calls constantly, I don't answer it. I tried calling them back, but of course they did not answer. I am on the "no call" list for solicitors, but they still call.
If by being on the DNC list for solicitors you mean the US National Do Not Call list then the only solicitors required to use the list are those selling goods or services directly or qualifying you as a sales prospect for a third party. Other types of solicitors are allowed to call until you request to be placed on their internal DNC list. Based on the information from other posters, this caller is conducting a political opinion poll and is therefore not required to use the DNC list.
I get repeated calls from this number, and even if I answer on the first ring, no one is ever on the other end. Also, at least in my area, the DNC list is a total joke. Eighty percent of the calls I get are in violation of the rules of the DNC list. Just one more example of a government program that does not work. I suggest shutting down the ineffective DNC list and saving the money wasted on it.
