IF it is the ASPCA, THEN they are permitted to make calls to solicit funds. The DNC and FTC rules permit legitimate not-for-profit organizations to call UNLESS you tell them to cease and desist. I just said that I AM NOT INTERESTED in helping them through their paid fundraising company. I would much rather mail a check to them directly so these high priced fundraising organizations don't get their 90% cut of the money.
The ASPCA, as far as I can tell, do a tremendous service, but these companies that contract to get them funds are terrible.
Reporting the ASPCA to the DNC and/or the FTC is not supported.
BTW - just had my 3rd call (since December 2013) so I guess their phone number records have been refreshed.
Donate DIRECTLY to your favorite charity so they will not feel compelled to use "companies" that charge outrageous percentages to a charitable organization!
They called my cell phone this morning. Man asked for my wife. Told him that I was the husband but this was my number he was calling. Before I could ask him to give me a message for my wife, he said "Thank You" and hung up. Number is now blocked on my phone.
Call at 1210 pm PDT and said they were calling to talk with me about animal cruelty and sorry that they could not reach me and hung up. Left their return number to call them also. Maybe ASPCA and maybe not.
