Received a call from a very bad broken English speaking person claiming my computer is being hacked and its been sending reports to their center for over 2 months. wanted me to get on the computer so he could walk me through a fix. "Big Scam" He said his name was Jack, what a laugh. he could not tell me which computer I had. Told him to take a hike
Similar experience. First call was identified (if spoofed) but no response when I answered it. Second call an hour later from the same number was not identified but responded in an Indian-type accent. Calling from Windows technical support to report a problem with my computer's daily update. Obvious problem: we don't have a Windows computer. I fired back with an obscenity-laden tirade that said I knew he was a thief and a fraud. P.S. we need a Call Type for "Scam."
They tell you that there is a problem with your Microsoft Windows software. I told them that I was a techie myself and that my systems were all working just fine.
