I blocked my number and spoke to Mary advised her my number is private and on do not call list. The woman removed my number I told her I was going to notify BBB. The woman was pleasant and receptive.
The number belongs to Amnesty International, and it is their "donor line." I received a solicitation call from them at the dinner hour (!) last night, and did NOT pick up the call. They did not leave a message. I did, however, call this morning and received their voicemail advising that their donor office was currently closed. You can leave a message on their voicemail (by pressing 9, per the instructions). I did leave a message for them to NEVER call me again, under any circumstances, whatsoever. We'll have to see what good that does!!!
Advice to YOU -- NEVER sign a petition sponsored by Amnesty International -- I did NOT provide my phone number, but they still looked it up (what a bunch of "a-holes").
A note to ALL solicitors -- STOP FREAKIN' CALLING!!!
Two calls, two days in a row. I didn't answer. I called back...canned music. Finally left a message to remove me from their list...said I'm on a Do Not Call list and I do not want calls.
