Called 7-13-2011  3:02 PM, Caller ID OXFAM, left no message.

Called back "Donor Services Group" trying to call on behalf of OXFAM.

Put on musical hold for several minutes, no one picked up.

I am on the Do Not Call registry.  These people won't be getting money from me!

I e-mailed them asking to stop.

Apparently this "donor services group" represents Greenpeace and a lot of lefty organizations.  Using telemarketers only confirms to me that these groups are scumbags.

OXFAM, which began as a British charity. It really does give aid to the poor, but they are so annoying. They call several times a day and I've had to start turning off my phone as I'm a nurse on third shift. They never leave a message but do succeed in waking me up. Pretty soon, I'll be going PRN, which is working when called, so cannot turn off the phone. Sleepy nurses are not a good thing. I also wonder how much telemarketing costs OXFAM which means there isn't much left for the poor. In addition to that, the annoyance factor probably cuts off a lot of good will. I know I won't donate to them.

Non-profits are exempt from the Do Not Call Registry.  Oxfam calls when there is a crisis, right now it is in Somalia.

They aren't scumbags and they are following the law. You might actually check the no call law. However, it is not on Fox.

These people call me 4 times a day, and I've now called twice to be asked to put on the Do Not Call list. I left for a trip out of the country and they clogged my mailbox with 25 blank voicemails to the point that my family wasn't able to leave me a voicemail ab something extremely urgent and important (that a close family member had passed away). Incredibly frustrating but it seems there's nothing you can do...
