I didn't answer the call from 661-748-0242. It ended up being a call from my mother using her Skype account. They really need to fix that so that you can identify who is actually calling.
Middle eastern accent identified himself as Officer Johnson with the Government Grants Division. Told me I'm eligilbe for a $6,000 government grant. Of course they just need some personal info to process. Told them to scam someone else and stop calling me. Called back twice more wanting to know why I'm not interested!!!
They don't leave a message. I am glad to find this site. before he passed away my father got involved with some unsavory types in that area code, and I will not answer a phone call from that area code unless I already know it is from somebody I want to talk to. However, I also have elderly relatives I DO care about in that area code, and I began to worry that someone was trying to reach me with bad news and wouldn't leave a message.
