I received a call from this # and right before getting call from 1-661-784-0241. I answered (2) times over last 2 days, one with just background noise and vocals like the adults in the "Peanuts" cartoons there other with a poor English speaking Asian woman that was asking me who I was. I asked them who they were, and got Asian Peanuts.
I used Skype to call my office phone, then found that the record on my office phone showed the caller number is 661-784-0240, the voice message is mine.
At almost 11:30 pm a week or so ago, I got a call from this number. Along with this number, the caller ID displayed the name john.krumwiede. I don't know anyone by that name and I wasn't going to answer at that time of night. Someone did leave a message in response to an active ad I have on Craig's List. He also left a callback number which was 205-9 (something I couldn't understand) 7-7528. I was looking on the internet to see if it could help me figure out the number I couldn't understand and found out that the area code is from Alabama (I live in California). Trying to give the benefit of the doubt, I thought he could be visiting and shopping on Craig's List. I gave up searching and decided to call the 661-748-0240 he originally called from to contact him about my Craig's list item, BUT I thought it wise to look up the number first. BOY AM I GLAD I DID! After reading all these posts and some on other sites, who knows the can of worms I might have opened by calling that number. Thank you all for taking the time to post your experiences.
You know I stopped using my email when selling stuff on Craig's List because I got so many scam emails off my listings. I only use my phone number now and this is the first time something like this has happened. Well, I can tell you one thing. The next time someone leaves a message about one of my Craig's List ads, I will definitely check the phone number out before I call it.
