I work in a busy doctor's office. This call comes in registered as a "Dr. Gambrills" on the phone ID, but it was not a referral - it was an a-hole robot posing as a legitimate reason to pick up. Obviously the advice to not pick up a number "you don't already know" certainly doesn't fly at a businessplace (duhh...not everything is a personal i-phone, kids), however, my advice is to just hang up and don't bother hitting the button for removal from their list. They MIGHT remove you from theirs, but will sell it to everyone else they can think of, leaving you to be bothered by more robots than Will Smith.
Excuse me, "info" but "Annoyed" mentioned the inconvenience to her CUSTOMERS. Customers means a business number. At a business number the phone ALWAYS gets answered, since an unknown number means NEW BUSINESS. If you had a job, perhaps you would have realized this before posting.
You hit the nail my friend. These robo calls and fishing scammers have taken over the phone lines. I to have ignored these and hope that other people will follow suit.. My thanks are extended.
