Got the same call and from the number 518-800-8136. Those a-holes will never learn. Each they call and leave a message I call them back to let them know their number had reported to the Treasury Inspector General for Tax Administration. They hang up immediately...
He was not clear speaking. He said something like- 2nd attempt before it went to a magistrate judge or grand jury for criminal offence. Call back or I would be in trouble. I should help him, help me.
I just got the same call. What is interesting is unlike the caller to Doug did not identify the agency. He said he is David Gray and the message was the same as what Skeptic of scam got. What is odd is that Gray left instructions to call the number reported on my caller ID. Normally they don't bother with that since being able to call the scammer may result in the authorities being able to track the scam. Given where the call was coming from I though it was another FOP annoyance, so I that's why I didn't pick it up in the first place.
Received a voicemail from the same number but it was David Gray from the Treasury Dept. This is the third call I received so I decided to call them back got the same run around. Hopefully they will get caught trying to scam people!!!
