Got a call a few minutes ago from this number. The man calling (sounded foreign) stated he received an error message associated with my computer and that someone is logging on and using my computer unbeknownst to me. Wanted me to sign onto my computer and follow his instructions so he could 'fix' the problem. Sounds suspicious to me.
Extremely heavy accent - could hardly understand him. Said that he was from Microsoft and had received an error message from my computer. Told him I didn't own a computer and hung up. Either Microsoft needs work in their hiring practices, or scammers like this guy need to work on their English.
Same as Bill above ~ just how stupid do these folks think we are? And to be honest ~ I don't have a computer at home. Have enough of it at work all day.
Scam artists just aren't as smart as they think they are. I just may try calling them & see if I can mess with them a bit. Believe it's called Karma!
Received call same as Susan above. Very heavy accent. I told him I wasn't home to see my computer. He said he would call back in 3 hours. I told him not to call back.
