WOW! I just found this site. Thank ya'll so much. Here's my story. I get a call from a Michelle White from a so called Carter Mineli Law Firm. same thing pay day loan a long time ago. If i dont' pay TODAY i will be charged. Also, hung up on me many times. I asked for the supervisor, his name ( supposedly) is John Roberts. He talks to me like a dog. I call my lawyer and he is sending a letter. Get this though, I asked for their address and they gave me 3379 Peachtree Rd. NE Atlanta, Ga. I look it up, it's the Lenox Building. A hi dollar office building. so i call the building manager. No such firm is there. I have been trying to figure these crooks out for two days. Thanks to this site it finally comes to light. YEAH!!! everyone put this info out to every outlet you know to stop this crap.
Someone saying they are Mary Conner from Legal Mediation - "final call before legal action is taken involving your name and personal information." Multiple calls and voicemails. The numbers and names change, but still scamming. Blocked numbers and filed (numerous) complaints with Do Not Call.
Same message today from Mary Conner with Legal Mediation, said she had sent paperwork to my last known address and it was imperative that I contact her, yada, yada, yada. I've blocked the number, but I'm sure tomorrow they will call from a different number. If you ever had a payday loan, the information was evidently sold and that is what these bottom feeding companies are buying and trying to collect on. Mine were all paid and it has been over 8 years since the last one so the statute of limitations has expired in my state anyway, but that doesn't stop these subhumans from calling every day.
