I WORK for SunTrust and know that we do not solicit calls and ask for SSN. This scammer uses a local number to get your attention. When in doubt, DO NOT GIVE ANYONE YOUR SSN. Instead, call the source directly (in this case, 1-800-SUNTRUST)....
Got a txt msg from this number saying it was Sun Trust Bank help desk and to call immediately. As I don't use Sun Trust for anything and certainly don't use my mobile devices for banking of any kind, I didn't bother.
Received a text message last night from some drops that 678-248-5379 to return the call about some immediate business I do not have an account with SunTrust and do not know why they are contacting me
WARNING!!! This is a scam! I used to have a loan with Suntrust so I called. They said that my security information has been compromised and then ask me to enter my Social Security Number!! I hung up at that point.
