The same here. Call left message about fraud. Call back and you couldn't even tell me who was filing against me. They say they are AA Enterprises. As soon as I started to questloning her she got mad and hung up. Scam!
Caller identified herself as Charlene. She didn't say with whom she wanted to speak. Message was more or less, "Your fraud case #xxxxxxxx came across my desk this morning. Please call me back at 678-276-7927 TODAY.:="
U call back and Elizabeth is never available and they say they have a case on their desk and my attorney or I must call back today.. Complete crap and when I called the woman out, she hung up!
Received a call today from 678-276-7927. I didn't listen to the full automated message, but it stated that this was a second attempt at contact prior to litigation. I hung up... Most likely this is just a debt collector using illegal scare tactics to scare me into making a payment on some old debt, I'm not afraid to admit that I've had problems with pay day loans in the past... Don't fall for it, if they were going to sue you, they aren't going to give you a heads up notification.
I've had a bogus company call me like this before, I never received the summons... The fact is that this are third party collection groups, they most likely working on behalf of a debt collection agency, trying to scare you into make a rash decision. The debt is probably old, past the statute, and they are trying to get you to make a payment which will reage the debt.
