I got the same call as K. A man with a heavy southern account said they were "sending my file to the county today". I've gotten calls from the same number at least twice a day for several weeks now. Very upsetting. He never says my name of what kind of "file" they're sending or what company he works for. Very intimidating and scary.
Apparently "charges are being filed against me and are being sent to the county today" and they need to hear from me immediately to give me options. Yet they never say my name or anything and have called from five or six other numbers before. This time is a very intimidating guy with a heavy accent. It's been an older sounding guy. An older woman. A young woman with a Thick accent. And a robotic sounding recording that have all left voicemails before. Same message. Only once have they said a name. They called me Deborah in the first voice mail. Then it was my number and social security number are linked to a fraudulent transaction. And numerous other things. But always the same basic message. I say it's a scam. Scare tactics.
I had the same call as K. And they said that my wife had taken out a loan using her e-mail address and my name and my social security number. And I asked what the name of the company was that my wife got the loan from and they said Equity Finance. And then immediately said that this company changes it's name all the time. They said that the loan was taken out in January of 2015. It was a guy in the voicemail but a lady that answered when I called them back. I pissed her off and she said they I needed to make sure I had someone to call to bail me out and then hung up on me. Definitely a SCAM!!! Too many shady answers to my questions.
I keep getting the same call. They are truly pissing me off. Same exact thing. Man with accent heavy voice. Lady next time. Then sound like a younger man. Not one time did either one of them call my name but says with your social security number and phone number. This is some sad shiiii here. All people have to do is sit around and try to figure out how to scam people. Really get a life.. I'm gett ready to report this number to Better Business Bureau. Let's see what they come up with....
