Miles Howard leaving messages on my cell phone and is also leaving harassing messages on my parents land line he claims that it's an urgent matter and that there has been a complaint filed against me in the state of Georgia. I live in Texas. He said that this is an urgent matter and it needs to be resolved immediately or else! my mother called him back and asked him not to ever call the landline again and after they hung up the phone he immediately call back the phone number he was extremely rude and would not take no for an answer. I have received emails and other phone calls in the past stating that I will go to jail if I do not pay money immediately but when I asked for proof of the payday loan they refused to give me any information. This person also claimed that they were sending the police out to arrest me. I called my local police department and they said that it was a scam. We don't appreciate him harassing us.
They ARE a legitmate collection agency based out of Georgia with more than one location. They are provided with pay day loans or credit cards loan that may have been written off from different companies and they have been hired to collect on the loans that originated from serveral states. The loans they are collecting on does not have to be recent actually it can be older than three years. Therefore just because you received call from their office in Georgia it does not mean the debt originated there.
